The Best Time of Day for Outdoor Portraits in Dubai
Light is the whole game. Here is how the desert sun shapes our schedule and why golden hour earns its name.

Dubai light is generous but demanding. Between eleven and three the sun sits directly overhead and carves hard shadows under the eyes, which is why I schedule outdoor sessions for the early morning or the last ninety minutes before sunset.
Golden hour here is genuinely golden — the low sun comes in warm and sideways, wrapping skin in soft light and turning the skyline into a backlit halo. It also drops fast, so we plan the route in advance and move deliberately while the light is right.
When schedules do not align with the sun, shade becomes our friend. A plain wall in open shade gives beautiful, even light that flatters everyone, and I always scout a shaded fallback for every outdoor location I shoot.
