Ceremony Moments Worth Waiting For
The vows, the look back, the exhale after — the moments that make wedding galleries sing, and how I make sure I never miss one.
The story / May 27, 2026
Every ceremony holds a handful of seconds that cannot be restaged: the deep breath before the vows, the trembling hands, the first look at a partner mid-sentence. My whole approach is built around being positioned and ready for those seconds.
Before the ceremony begins I walk the venue, test the light, and choose two or three vantage points so I can move between angles without ever crossing the aisle or the shot. Preparation is what makes spontaneity possible.
To the couple, it looks like I am barely working. That quiet is deliberate — the best ceremony photographs happen when the day feels like it belongs to the couple, not to the camera.
